Founding and Lead Editor
David Robles, M.D., Ph.D is the founding and lead editor
for TheEssayDoctor.Com, a premier on-line personal statement
development and consulting service for undergraduates,
graduates, and professional students. Dr. Robles received
his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences
from the University of Colorado Health Sciences where
he entered the combined MD/PhD, Medical Scientist Training
Program.
Dr. Robles played a key role in the recruitment of undergraduate
students to the MD, PhD and MD/PhD programs. He worked
closely with the Dean of Medical Admissions to identify
exceptional students and students from diverse backgrounds
for the MD and MD/PhD programs and served on graduate
school research program selection committees.
As an MD/PhD student, he helped many students develop
their personal statements, AAMCAS applications and secondary
applications and has seen all of these students successfully
matriculate to some of the top universities in the nation.
This success inspired him to start this online service
so that he can help more students reach their dreams.
Dr. Robles successfully completed his Medical Degree at
the University of Southern California where he also participated
as a medical school interviewer and organized several
recruitment activities for the MD/PhD program. He continues
to publish research articles, lectures at universities,
and does free-lance professional writing. Dr. Robles is
currently a medical intern at Harbor-UCLA and will be
entering the Dermatology Residency Program at the University
of Washington, Seattle.
Managing Editor
Lorena Jaramillo, M.D. is managing editor of TheEssayDoctor.com.
She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physiology
with Departmental Honors at the California State University,
Long Beach. She received her medical degree at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she was part
of a recruitment committee to help students gain admission
to medical school. Dr. Jaramillo attended national conferences
to recruit students and provided assistance with personal
statements and secondary applications for medical school.
Her work helped many students gain admission to graduate
and professional school.
Dr. Jaramillo is currently a resident in Obstetrics and
Gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She is a member
of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and
will pursue a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility. |
